During July and August, a new cycle path and other important infrastructure were built in the central part of the Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone, which will help people, and especially employees, to avoid car traffic. This first stage has now been completed, further work will take place depending on the further occupancy of the Zone by investors.

Along with the construction of the bike path, there was also the construction of public lighting, sidewalks and bus stops in Holešovská, Martinická streets and near the Progress Technology Park.

However, the construction work in the industrial zone is far from over. In the future, other individual sections will be built here, which will then be connected into one continuous route.

As Radovan Macháček, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holešov Industrial Zone, stated earlier, building infrastructure will also include the strengthening of bus lines in the future. In this way, the Zone responds to the growing number of employees who will find work here in the coming years, when it is expected to be fully occupied by companies.

The project of a new path for cyclists and pedestrians will be created thanks to the financial support of the European Union. The trail, which is almost 1.4 km long, will lead along the existing roads on Holešovská, Zahnašovická and Spojovací I streets. After the roundabout of Všetulská and Holešovská streets, it will connect to the trail in the central part of the industrial zone. All construction work should be completed by November 2025, with the total cost of the project amounting to less than 20 million crowns without VAT, of which roughly 85% will be covered by the European Regional Development Fund.
