The project of a new path for cyclists and pedestrians will be created with the financial support of the European Union in the eastern part of the Zone Holešov complex and also includes the installation of public lighting along the cycle path and various landscaping.

The length of this new trail will be less than 1.4 km and will run parallel to the already built purpose-built roads on Holešovská, Zahnašovická and Spožový I streets. After the roundabout of Všetulská and Holešovská streets, the trail will connect, on Všetulská street, to the planned trail in the central part of the industrial zones. The construction work should be completed in November 2025, the total projected costs of the project amount to less than 20 million crowns without VAT, while roughly 85% of this amount will be financed from the European Regional Development Fund.

"The construction of a path for cyclists and pedestrians in our industrial zone is a great step to promote a healthy lifestyle and to improve the transport infrastructure, which is absolutely essential for the management of the Holešov Zone and settled investors. This project will undoubtedly contribute to the greater attractiveness of the entire zone not only for local employees, but also for other potential investors," stated the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holešov Industrial Zone Radovan Macháček and added: "Thanks to the support of the European Union and the Zlín Region, we can work together to reduce our carbon footprint and improve air quality for the residents of Holešov and the surrounding area by supporting more ecological modes of transport."

The basic goal of the project is to build a special cycle path that will allow cyclists to move safely and comfortably when traveling to work, schools and services. It also includes the accompanying infrastructure. The project focuses on increasing the safety of pedestrians and cyclists in the given area, on improving the passability and safety of traffic, but also on supporting the development of bicycle transport in the region.
